SBMC Messaging Data Request and Deletion
Last updated: 3 October 2026
This page explains how to ask for access, correction or deletion review for information associated with the Meta app SBMC Messaging - Ontivus.
How to make a request
- Email SBMC's privacy grievance officer, Dr. Amit Ray, at amit.ray@sbmcsimdega.org. You may copy the app operator, Ontivus Private Limited, at sur.debraj@gmail.com.
- In your message, say whether you want access, a correction or deletion review. Give the WhatsApp number involved and an approximate date or conversation so SBMC can locate the relevant information. State if the request concerns a Meta test message or SBMC's existing phone-based WhatsApp service.
- Do not send a password, one-time code, prescription or other medical document in the first email. SBMC may ask for limited additional information through an appropriate channel to verify that you are entitled to make the request.
What happens next
SBMC will review the information it controls, verify the requester, and explain the action taken. Deletion may be limited where a record must be kept for a clinical or pharmacy purpose, a legal obligation, a dispute or a legal hold. SBMC will explain an applicable reason for retention. Ontivus will assist SBMC with app-held data under SBMC's instructions.
This Meta app is currently in a test phase and is not connected to SBMC's live WhatsApp Business Account or its number ending 2280. It therefore cannot delete existing customer chats from the phone app. If your request concerns those chats, contact SBMC using the same email above. Meta and WhatsApp may separately hold information under their own policies.
